Archie is in a good mood to play tennis with Josie and Alice at the waterhole, but when Alice wants to play with Josie, he doesn't let her because the winner always stays on until he is defeated. This makes both of them upset and leave, not wanting to play with him anymore.
Archie is so good at sport that he wins every game and demands to play on until he is defeated. This means his friends don't want to play with him. Buster arranges for him to play Frank, who surprisingly beats him, then steps aside to let someone else play. Archie learns to share, and after that people are happy to play with him.
